Om Prakash Mohanty is currently the leader of AICCF Championship 1517 with 10/14 points, followed by Ganesh Hegde (9/10) and Lalit Kapoor & Gautam De with 8.5/13.
These frontrunners are followed by R.K. Chauhan (7/9), Anil Anand (7/10), Arghyadip Das (7.5/11) and Ajith Jose (7.5/11).
Ganesh Hegde is the dark horse of this tournament and has the best chance to catch up with Om Prakash at the top. However, he has some games with other top contenders RK Chauhan, Gautam De and Arghyadip Das.
Mohan Turaga (8/13), one of the title contenders, made an uncharacteristic, catastrophic blunder leaving his Queen en prise in his game vs Gautam De and is most likely out of the podium finish.
