ICCF Congress 2025
The 2025 ICCF Congress will be held online on 4th October 2025 and will continue on 5th October if there are unfinished matters. Online voting of proposals has started from 1stSeptember and is open upto 19th Oct 2025. We expect that the online Congress will be available to all in live view on youtube.ICCF Congress 2026
There are two proposals to host the ICCF Congress 2026:- The Philippine Correspondence Chess Association has offered to host the 2026 ICCF Congress in Manila, Philippines, from October 12th to 15th, 2026. This is in recognition of the 5th Anniversary celebration of the Philippine Federation, which was organized in September 2020.
- The German Federation has offered to host the 2026 ICCF Congress in Neuhardenberg, a small town in the Oderbruch region from October 11th to 15th, 2026. This is in celebration of the German Federation's 80th anniversary in August 2026
2nd World Team Cup 1R Ukraine - India and Brazil India
We have put up a strong team for the 2nd World Team Cup tournament. We are paired against Ukraine and Brazil. The games are being played with Triple Block system for a 302 day event, with 51 days initial bank and 1 day increment for the first 50 moves. The tournament started on
15th August 2025 and will go on upto 13th June 2026, but because of the Triple Block system, some players are really playing very fast. Within a space of just one month, Alok Saxena, Arnab Sengupta and Pankaj Dubey have completed both their games against Ukraine, while Om Prakash and R.K.Chauhan have finished one game. All these games were drawn so the score against Ukraine is level. Here is the cross table:

ICCF Olympiad 23 Preliminaries - Section 2
The Indian team is led by T.Pavan Kumar. India is in 7th place from among 9 teams below Portugal,Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, USA, New Zealand but ahead of Hungary and Indonesia. Sasikran on Board 1 has drawn 7 games and 1 game is ongoing. On Board 2 T.Pavan Kumar has draws in 6 games (3 points) and has 2 ongoing games. He has chances to make the GM and IM norms. For this he needs 1.5 from the 2 remaining games. On Board 3 R.K.Chauhan where he has drawn all the 8 games finishing at 4 points, thereby missing the GM and IM norm of 4.5 points. It is interesting that all 36 games on the board were drawn. Gautam De has finished the tournament with 3.5 pts/8. Lalit Kapoor has finished in the 3rd spot with 4/9 on Board 5. IM Om Prakash finished in the TOP position scoring 5 points which gave him an SIM norm!

India lost 24-10 to Sweden. The top boards were all drawn, but our performance on the lower boards was poor. Aruna HN and GB Akshith defaulted their games.
