"Out of our greatest despair comes our greatest gift." - This is the statement I made (in our classmates' group) about two months back to describe the changed political scenario in my State (A.P.) and the Centre. Now, to show it symbolically, I present a chess game position between a Spanish (former British chess champion) and a Serbian grandmaster. White is apparently in great trouble (despair) and about to be checkmated in one move. However, he has a great God-sent resource (gift). The position and the puzzle is given below. The solution appears to be simple but, missed by a GM, in the heat of the battle with the clock ticking.
