From the Editor's Desk

The Editorial team of Me and Mohan Turaga, the Games Editor, are back with the second issue of AICCF Bulletin 2020 under extremely trying times.

This year has been historic and particularly challenging due to the Corona virus outbreak (Covid-19) which has affected the whole world destroying lives, livelihood, careers and economies.

This edition of the Bulletin has an exciting Opening review by the reigning AICCF champion, Omprakash Mohanty on the Sicilian variants.

Amit Kumar Sharma has presented an exciting alternative for Black against Queen’s gambit in the form of the less-explored Budapest gambit.

Mohan Turaga has once again done a wonderful job annotating exhaustively 61 games for our readers, which is the highest in recent memory. A special thanks to CCM Gautam De and OTB IM Arghyadip Das for providing notes to their games.

In the article to the Men's World Chess Candidates 2020, the Editor has tried to present the likely scenarios emerging in the post-Covid continuation of the tournament to select a challenger to the World Champion, Magnus Carlsen.

As usual, looking forward to your comments and suggestions for improvement on AICCF WhatsApp Group or by Email.

Sincerely Yours,
Anil Anand
Bulletin Editor
