Updates on AICCF Server

THE DRAW BUG

There was a long-standing bug on AICCF Server connected with YourMove Mobile App. There were some cases being reported by players that their game was scored as drawn when they had not even logged into the server. I noticed that in all such cases, the player who proposed the draw was using YourMove Moblie App. Recently Lalit Kapoor, Cyrus Irani, Rakesh Chauhan, Anil Anand reported this problem. If the player did not want to accept a draw, I restored the game manually. This bug arose from the interaction between two different programs (YourMove and AICCF server). I did not realise that YourMove was allowing a player to accept his own draw proposal when it was not even his turn! I introduced this check in AICCF server and now this problem is resolved.

Devangshu Datta is a journalist with a busy schedule. During outstation travel he is often in areas without internet. During free time in-between he likes to analyse his Engine Forbidden games on a regular chess board. In order to be sure that he is analysing the correct position he wanted to keep a printed copy of the moves before he sets out on his tour. You can get it from Email notifications, but he wanted to download directly. This is an already existing facility. Unfortunately, the button was not working for Engine Forbidden games. This has been rectified. Devangshu reports that he is now able to use this facility and also the Get button which appears alongside individual games.
