We thank Anil Anand not only for taking over as Bulletin Editor since the previous issue, but also for interacting with AICCF members and helping us to take decisions about AICCF matters. He has joined Omprakash Mohanty on the AICCF WhatsApp group to become “Voices of AICCF”. Mohan Turaga has become another pillar of strength for AICCF surpassing himself with annotations for each release of the Games Section. The combination of Anil Anand and Mohan Turaga has elevated the standard of the Bulletin to new levels.

We welcome the following players who have joined subsequent to the publication of the previous AICCF Bulletin: 590: Vaibhav Suri (Life), 591:Satyam Chaudhary (Life), 592:Aaradhya Singh (Life), 593:Saksham Singh (Life), 594:Gurcharan Singh (Life), 595:Priyadharshan Kannappan (Life), 596:Mihir Naniwadekar (Life), 597:Amrit Raj (Life), 598:Ramesh Panwar (upto 14-08-2021), 599:Pranav Anand (Life), 600:Akash PC Iyer (Life). Akash PC Iyer is a FIDE International Master, rated 2431 while Kannappan is rated 2463. Their FIDE ratings are carried over to AICCF.

ENGINE FORBIDDEN AICCF CHAMPIONSHIPS

We have decided to start the first two AICCF Engine-Forbidden Championships:16-player Engine Forbidden Championship and 7-player Engine Forbidden Aspirers Tournament. We had received 23 entries by the closing date of 14-Sep-19 which has been split into the two groups as above based on Starting rating and the tournaments have commenced.

22nd ICCF OLYMPIAD

The 22nd ICCF Olympiad Prelim. will start on January 13th, 2020. Entries received from India at the time of writing are: Sasikiran, Krishnan; Kannappan, Priyadharshan; Prakash, Om; Dutta, Amit; Kapoor, Lalit; Turaga, Mohan; Chauhan, Rakesh Kumar; Datta, Devangshu; Akkaraju, Sailesh Chandra and De, Gautam. The top 6 players based on ICCF ratings (or FIDE) will be selected to play.
